It took me 11 deaths to finish this crappy bullet hellish game. While other titles try or not try to leave a footprint on the fabric of reality, this thingy just leaves a poopstain there and is proud of it. Challenging at first, but then you learn to play it safe and to not eat too much before sitting in front of your browser

I've managed to beat it under two mins with three deaths, WOO!
A nice, minimalistic game

Looks promising, but has a few issues. Lack of music outside of the boss fight is kinda offputting. So is shooting with your mouse when the aiming direction is determined by your movement and not the cursor position (it'd be way less confusing if casting spells was bound to one of the keyboard keys instead of the mouse). Enemies lack animation and after collision they can just push you around without dealing any further damage. Anyway, I'm looking forward to something with a less 'unfinished' feeling to it :P

Thanks for playing! The game is still in alpha so I will try to add the features that you desire in Alpha 1.3 . Thanks for rating and checking out my game!

The game looks really promising until you start playing. Is there any reason to upgrade more than one spell? It doesn't seem like the enemies have element resistances or anything and they feel like the only difference is their sprites, because even their stats don't seem different...
The graphics scaling is weird, there is no sound and the hand sits completely still while casting spells. Kinda cool as a proof of concept, but not really cool as a whole game

Not really challenging nor engaging. Like, at all. walking is very glitchy, aiming is weird and you have to deliberately make yourself lose, because the game just goes on without becoming more difficult. The sounds are cool, though

Djevvy responds:

Thanks, i made it a couple of years ago for a game jam so thats how it isn't really polished.

Cool ending screen :P
Dying feels weird

The Forest Whispers My Name...
Again and again...

Yes.
It's true art, but you can just hold the two buttons instead of mashing them alternatively

Got to a fight in which both me and my opponent were regenerating health too fast for one of us to drop dead, but it was fun while it lasted. Far from being a quality S&S clone, yet it was still pretty cool. Don't know if the shady character straight up lied to me or if it was a bug, but I never had my double spell damage with the staff :P

plutonium-soft responds:

It sounds like he ripped you off :D

Cool game ^ ^
Graphics and controls are nice, the upgrades feel meaningful without being overpowered and you really had me coming back for more, just to see what monster would appear next and buying all jump/speed upgrades to see what's beyond the ledges. I was kinda disappointed to discover they were never meant to be accesible, but, even without a proper destination, the road was pretty satisfying. Kinda felt like these old, arcade-inspired flash games at a point or two.
Btw; Newgrounds high-score list would be great, too
