Cool game with some truly retro stuff going on. It's always nice to see someone actually making an effort to replicate not only the graphics, but the feeling of the old games all while making something new. The game was challenging and there were way more enemy types than I expected. I finished it on my third try with 26800$ and 11:44 time and it's been really fun. Also, the vibes (especially the music) remind me of this indie roguelike game called Shoot First, which kinda faded into obscurity; you should definitely check it out if it's still available :P

One of the best GBjam games yet :P
Really difficult and engaging, even with the last boss being a little bit unfair with his spit radius :D

Graphics are pretty and there are a few cool effects, but there's still much to do. There's no music, melee form is basically useless against the boss (I'm not sure if it even does any damage to it) and controlling with the arrows make the whole page to scroll up and down, so I had to use the mouse, which, surprisingly, seems to be less precise and fun. Also, the game just loops infinitely after the boss without any message, so we can't really keep track of the bullets/melee attacks used, like you encourage us to do in the description

It could be a decent game, but there's a LOT to improve right now...
While Flora is capable of resurrecting with a bit of her hp back, Alex just stays dead and any attempt to bring him back to the battle makes him die again on the very first turn.
You programmed all of these items and skills, but there's almost literally no way to unlock them, as the only way to earn the coins is through the chests that are either empty most or the time or just give you the most insignificant amount of coins. There could be more rewards like healing, bonus exp or just more coins in the chest... I assure you no one has the time to grind that stuff.
Also, put your own spirit into the game :P Envision something and then do art, pick/make some music, write some dialogue or the game would be just unrecognisable in the pile of generic grinders.
There's some charm to your game, but it's not ready yet, so I'm waiting for some updates to see if it's any more playable in the future ;)

thanks your opinion will help me, i really need to improve a lot, maybe i will find someone who can help me
about the character Alex, when he died and didn't come back alive it was a bug that is already fixed in the new version of Google Play

Everything's great but level ups would be way more useful if they included other perks besides raising the fire rate and hp. More ammo per reload or faster reload would be neat, given the ridiculous spawn rate when you're nearing 200 slays.
Anyway, it's still pretty cool and reeks of old school flash games :P

Very cool, even if there was some tedious goo-grinding near the end :D
The graphics are supernice and I'd love to play a more lengthy version of this on my GB :P

Only the first tree near to your spaceship works... And it's not an rpg game. It's a cool idea, but there's not much to the game itself. What do you need gold for? Is the game winnable?
EDIT: Whoah, it's really cool if it was made under 2 hrs :O

to7lob responds:

Thank you for the feedback,no the game is not winnable and i made this game in 1:47 hour as a challenge.

Cool :D It's kinda oldschool, the puzzles are nice, and maybe I'll try to finish it without dying the next time
EDIT: Now only the fourth ending remains and it goes pretty fast once you know how to solve each puzzle

Kinda like if Diablo 1 had a child with some child's random concept of a video game, which is cool. A little buggy, though. And WAY too easy

WON ON MY FIRST TRY WITH 2 HP AND STILL ONE HEAL LEFT, WOO!
Cool idea with animating objects that just randomly sit around in the throne room.
Anyway, it's the third game from your studio that I've finished by now and I really dig your style :P

Butzbo responds:

Hahah, thanks! We'd like to revisit this idea sometime :)
